Two Hurt in Rear-End Crash on Hwy 63 in Boone Co., MO

Boone County, MO (August 30, 2026) – Two people were injured in a rear-end wreck on Highway 63 in Boone County on Saturday, August 29. The collision occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. near Peabody Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 17-year-old girl was driving a Ford Bronco southbound when she lost consciousness or fell asleep. The Bronco then struck the rear of a Toyota Camry traveling southbound.

The teenage driver sustained minor injuries. Boone County Ambulance transported her to University Hospital for care.

The 58-year-old Camry driver sustained moderate injuries. Boone County Ambulance also transported him to University Hospital.

The Bronco sustained extensive damage, while the Camry was totaled. Both vehicles were towed from the roadway.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
