Boone County, MO (October 13, 2026) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 63 near Peabody Road in Boone County on Sunday evening, October 11.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 7:15 p.m. when a 75-year-old Columbia man driving a Chrysler Pacifica attempted to cross the northbound lanes of U.S. 63. The Pacifica was struck by a Ford Escape driven by a 17-year-old girl from Moberly.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries, while a 77-year-old male passenger in the Pacifica, also from Columbia, suffered moderate injuries. Boone County EMS transported all three individuals to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

We hope everyone injured in this crash receives the care they need and makes a steady recovery.

Why Monitoring Symptoms After a Car Accident in Boone County, MO, Is Important

Monitoring symptoms after a car accident in Boone County, MO, is important because some injuries may not become noticeable until hours or days after a collision. Paying attention to new or worsening symptoms can help people recognize when to seek medical evaluation and address potential injuries early.

Symptoms such as muscle soreness, stiffness, headaches, and pain with movement may develop over time and interfere with daily activities. Even if discomfort initially seems manageable, changes in how the body feels after a crash should not be ignored.

Because every accident and injury is different, recovery needs can vary. Follow-up medical care can help assess persistent discomfort, identify movement limitations, and determine whether additional treatment is necessary. Anyone experiencing new, worsening, or ongoing symptoms should consult a qualified healthcare professional.

At Lordex Spine Center of Columbia, we help people manage discomfort following motor vehicle accidents through personalized auto injury care services.
