Columbia, MO (June 21, 2026) – A woman was injured on Sunday, June 21, after a rollover crash on northbound Highway 63 near the Highway 763 ramp in Columbia.
Early reports said her vehicle rolled several times during the wreck. Emergency crews responded and took her to the emergency room for treatment. Reports later described her as alive and alert.
A silver Toyota reportedly left the area after the collision and continued north on Highway 63. Officials had not released the woman’s name, age, or full injury details after the crash.
One northbound lane on Highway 63 was closed while crews worked at the scene. Authorities continue to review what caused the wreck and are also looking into the vehicle that left the area.
We wish the injured woman a full and steady recovery.
A rollover crash in Columbia can put your body through sudden force from several directions. As the vehicle flips or turns, your head, neck, back, and shoulders may absorb repeated strain in seconds. Even with a seatbelt on, that twisting motion can leave painful injuries behind.
After this type of crash, neck and back pain often appear first. Your muscles may tighten as your body reacts to the impact. You may also feel headaches, stiffness, soreness, or pain that travels into your shoulders, arms, hips, or legs.
Once the shock wears off, those symptoms can become harder to ignore. Pain that seemed mild at the scene may feel worse the next morning. Simple movements like bending, reaching, standing, or turning your head can suddenly become difficult.
If your vehicle rolled more than once, your body likely went through repeated impact and strain. That force can stretch ligaments, irritate joints, and place pressure on the spine. These injuries may not always show clearly during a basic emergency room visit.
Because rollover injuries can affect several body parts at once, a full evaluation is important. The crash may strain the spine, muscles, nerves, and joints. An auto injury care provider in Columbia can find the source of your pain and build a care plan for safe recovery.
As your body heals, everyday activity may still feel difficult. Bending, reaching, walking, or turning your head can bring back soreness after a serious wreck. Proper care can reduce tension, improve mobility, and keep symptoms from becoming long-term problems.
