Boone County, MO (June 17, 2026) – A 17-year-old boy from Centralia died on Wednesday evening, June 17, after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 124 at Gano Chance Road in Boone County. The wreck happened around 9:45 p.m.

According to initial reports, the teen failed to stop at a stop sign before the collision. A 28-year-old Columbia woman driving an SUV crossed the center of the road while trying to avoid the teen’s vehicle.
