Four Hurt After Car Leaves Road on Rte J in Boone Co., MO

Columbia, MO (September 12, 2026) – Four people were injured in a rollover wreck on Route J near West Drane Road in Boone County on Friday, September 11. The collision happened at about 11:06 p.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2018 Chevrolet Impala was traveling north on Route J when the driver lost control. The car left the roadway and overturned, ejecting the occupants.

The 16-year-old Harrisburg girl driving the Impala and a 16-year-old Sturgeon boy sustained serious injuries. A 15-year-old Harrisburg girl and an 18-year-old Sturgeon man sustained minor injuries.

All four occupants were taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
