The investigation into the wreck remains ongoing.

We hope both recover quickly.

Do Minor Injuries After a Car Accident Need Treatment in Columbia, MO?

After a crash in Missouri, even minor injuries can benefit from a medical evaluation. Pain that starts out mild can grow into stiffness, headaches, or limited movement over several days, especially after a sudden jolt. Early treatment gives a provider a chance to check for problems that are easy to miss at first and to start a recovery plan sooner.

There are several signs that alert you that a minor injury may be more than a bruise. This includes neck or back stiffness, pain that spreads, numbness or tingling, dizziness, and trouble sleeping or moving comfortably.

Soft-tissue strain in the neck, shoulders, and lower back is common after a sudden stop, and it can take a day or two to show up. It is advisable to keep a short note of when symptoms start and what makes them better or worse, which can help a provider build a clearer picture.

In these cases, an auto injury care provider in Columbia can evaluate symptoms, point out where treatment may help, and build a plan that may include pain relief services, injury rehabilitation, or non-surgical treatment services. Starting rehabilitation early can help restore movement and strength, and it may keep a minor strain from lingering.
